After reaching the semifinals of the Russia 2018 World Cup and then the final of Euro 2021, only to lose on penalties to Italy, England will be determined to go one better in Qatar and finally win their first major trophy since 1966.

“The Three Lions”, as they are also called by their fans due to the three lions that appear on the national team’s crest and also on the Royal Arms of England, first participated in the Fifa World Cup in 1950.
